Art Hub Liwa is a staging ground for epic festivals that provide a platform for cultural and artistic exchange on a grand scale. Art Hub Liwa is recognized as the go-to location where the talented peoples of the world congregate to exchange ideas, engage, inspire and be inspired.
The First International Historical Memory Art Festival is focused on the United Arab Emirates and visual artists, creative thinkers and noted others in a month-long creative and cultural journey based in the history of the 60’s and 70’s, encompassing the pre- and post-unification years. Participants are Emiratis or those of any nationality who in the past or more recently have contributed to the realization of the rulers’ dreams, and those who wish to contribute to the creation of an extraordinary visual arts archive. These participants have a special interest in the historical and a passion for embracing the journey of a most respected culture and honoring the contributions made by the people of this desert land. Each participant had expressed their impressions of the rich history while striving for innovation and abounding creativity through collaboration among the other participants including invited Emirati artisans and craftsmen. This festival is set to bring together talented citizens from the four corners of the globe with common goals, yet revealing individual interpretations of the festival theme—The Age of Transformation
